The Shoals

One of my Artwalk patrons suggested I create illustrations of other Alabama cities besides Birmingham. So I accepted that challenge, and enjoyed discovering themes and vibes for each of the cities. First up is The Shoals (not a city, but a region), an area rich in natural beauty, exploration and music. Camp, hike, fish and canoe along the Tennessee River, and watch barges lock through the Wilson Dam. Check out birds and fancy boats at Wheeler State Park, visit the only Frank Lloyd Wright house in Alabama, celebrate great music traditions old and new...and more!
