Watercolor collaborative painting
Children's of Alabama Hope and Cope Psychosocial program commissioned me to create a piece of artwork as a thank you to one of the program's sponsors. Part of the project involved patients, family members and hospital staff painting elements,
including the birds, state landmarks and hospital windows. The painting depicts the Hospital as a beacon of hope across the state and features many of the Hope and Cope program's specialties - music and art therapy,
Hand in Paw animal therapy, social workers, child life specialists, doctors, chaplains, and teachers.
The Hospital unveiled the piece at a ceremony and presented a reproduction of the piece to the sponsor. The original artwork now hangs in one of Children's outpatient clinics.
